She carries the belief that God has given her a special heart to help people with through her gift of counseling. Erica specializes in Christian counseling, anxiety/depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and couples'
Owner of Shining Light Counseling, Erica brings her compassionate heart and gentle soul for her patients and staff. She carries the belief that God has given her a special heart to help people with through her gift of counseling. Erica specializes in Christian counseling, anxiety/depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and couples' therapy.
Outside of her office, she resides in the Rochester Hills area with her husband, daughter, son, and their German Shepherd. Erica is passionate about being a Mommy, leading a Bible study group, traveling (especially to Disney World!), hosting events, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Leah has always known, since a young age, that she wanted to work in a field where she is helping others. She welcomes her clients into an accepting, unbiased, and caring environment to safely process through their emotions. Leah has experience working with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, as well as family and marital concerns. She is married with three beautiful children, a son and two daughters. Leah enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 dogs.

Deanna is passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and young adults. Her goal as a therapist is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment to help her clients feel empowered,

Deanna is passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and young adults. Her goal as a therapist is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment to help her clients feel empowered, validated, and equipped with the tools and strategies to move towards healing and growth. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trauma, behavioral concerns, and peer/family conflict. Deanna enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two fur babies, and her family/friends, as well as traveling, crafting, cooking, getting competitive on game nights and attempting to garden!

Our Counseling Practice
In March 2018, I started Shining Light Counseling with the dream to serve patients throughout Metro Detroit who are ready to replace the darkness that they feel with the light that a counselor's heart can bring! Since the beginning of opening my practice, I have witnessed that the patients coming into the office have connected deeply to the name: "Shining Light." Whether it was a review on the internet that brought you here, a personal referral from one of our current or past patients, or you just happened to stumble across this page - I know that this was no coincidence. I would like to welcome you personally to the compassion, peace, and warmth that my practice can bring you. May this be the beginning of your healing journey.
